Roman Reigns surprised everyone last Monday by announcing in the initial segment of Monday Night Raw that he has been suffering from leukemia for 11 years and that, despite the battle against the disease, it has returned with force, affecting his health to the point of not being able to continue as a full-time fighter, thus being forced to temporarily abandon the company and vacate the WWE Universal Championship . However, it seems that this absence from the ring will not prevent Reigns from continuing to participate in events representing WWE.
Since his arrival at the main roster of the company, Reigns has been Intercontinental champion, WWE champion, United States Champion and tag team champion, along with his partner in The Shield Seth Rollins. In the last edition of SummerSlam, Reigns managed to snatch the Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar, a title he had to defend in a triple threat on November 2 in Crown Jewel against Lesnar and Braun Strowman.
