The Current Plan for SummerSlam main event, Reigns finally champion?

The current plan for the August WWE PPV SummerSlam is the main event with Brock Lesnar defending his WWE universal title ANOTHER TIME against Roman Reigns. according to the Wrestling Observer. This was the plan for a few days and although it is not 100% confirmed, this is the idea of work.

It seems that Reigns can finally have his big moment with the WWE’s universal title at SummerSlam. We noticed AYER, through Sports Illustrated, that multiple sources within WWE believe that Lesnar will lose his title to finish his WWE career soon at SummerSlam.

This would be the third shot for the Reigns title during Lesnar’s current career. Lesnar retained his title against Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Reigns in Fatal 4 Way at SummerSlam 2017 with Lesnar posting Reigns, while Lesnar defeated Reigns in one on one match at WrestleMania 34 in April and then retained against Reigns in a Steel Cage match in The Greatest Royal Rumble in April.

WWE has been planning for the big coronation with Reigns as a champion for a while and it’s no secret that this has been the goal of Vince McMahon. Reigns also lost two big title matches with Kevin Owens when he was champion, in “Roadblock: End of the Line” in December 2016 and then in a No DQ match at the Royal Rumble 2017.

SummerSlam takes place on August 19 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. It is believed that Lesnar will be out until it is time to build his fiefdom for SummerSlam. The Beast will soon break the record of CM Punk for the longest reign in the title that today is 434 days, as it has just broken the 430-day mark.
