The North American NXT Championship will be officially introduced in TakeOver: New Orleans
The Operations Director and Principal Producer of NXT “Triple H” has presented the official design of the NXT North American Championship through its personal social networks. WWE has echoed the news later.
The North American NXT Championship will be officially introduced to the brand during the special TakeOver: New Orleans, which will be held on April 7. The General Manager of the NXT William Regal announced in the last episode of NXT TV that the inaugural champion will be decided in a Ladder match between six of the most important superstars of the roster today. Below, the official press release provided by WWE:
“Six of the most dynamic NXT superstars will make history to become the first NXT North American Champion in history. All this will happen on Saturday, April 7, in a Ladder match in the special NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, which will be broadcast live from the Smoothie King Center (which has posted the poster of no tickets) on the streaming platform, WWE Network
A few moments ago on social networks, the Director of Operations of WWE Triple H has revealed the prize that The Velveteen Dream, Adam Cole, EC3, Ricochet, Lars Sullivan and Killian Dain will be playing within four days. In this way, Triple H gives a first impression of the new title that will be introduced in the yellow mark.”
The presented design has a classic style and similar to the extinct WWF North American Heavyweight Championship. This championship was in circulation during the years 1979 and 1981, with Ted DiBiase and Patt Patterson as two of the most prestigious names that carried this belt.
