Update on Possible Arrival of AJ Lee to WWE Evolution
Last week there were several reports suggesting that Vince McMahon himself contacted AJ Lee to make an appearance on Evolution but the former Divas champion is apparently not close to reaching an agreement with WWE and now there are less than eight weeks left.
Lee was part of the recent trial between her husband CM Punk and WWE doctor Chris Amann which means there is a lot of enmity between them, so Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reports that the deal is not even close to materializing and that Lee will not appear in the show.
AJ Lee retired from WWE in April 2015 and has not returned to the company in the following three years. Instead, Lee and her husband CM Punk have eliminated the struggle of their lives and have advanced in the pursuit of other dreams.
While Punk has become famous for his recent stint with the UFC, Lee has become one of the New York Times best-selling authors and his autobiography is now becoming a television series.
Lee has definitely been busy since her retirement from the wrestling world which is one of the reasons why many fans did not think she wanted to return.
Evolution will take place on October 28 live from the Nassau Coliseum and will include Trish Stratus, Lita, Beth Phoenix, The Bella Twins and all the current fighters of the three WWE rosters as well as the final of the Mae Young Classic.
