WWE announces NXT TakeOver: New York for April 5, 2019
Triple H, executive vice president of talents, live events and creative area of WWE, has confirmed through his Twitter account that the NXT event during the weekend of WrestleMania 35 will be titled as NXT TakeOver: New York. The show will take place next Friday, April 5, 2019 from the Barclays Center.
In this way, the WWE development brand will return to the Barclays Center, where they have held their NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn events over the past four years during the SummerSlam weekend. Additionally, this will be the fourth consecutive year that an NXT show is part of the WrestleMania weekend special, since the TakeOver: Dallas event in 2016.
It should be recalled that WWE changed the dates of celebration of TakeOver in recent days. At first, the event was scheduled for Saturday, April 6. Nevertheless, WWE decided to change the date with the ceremony of celebration of the Hall of Fame, that was going to take place on Friday the 5th.
