WWE changes the dates of their shows for the Wrestlemania 35 weekend
WWE has sent out a press release reporting major changes in the w WrestleMania 35 week. The company has confirmed that NXT TakeOver will be held on Friday, April 5 and the Hall of Fame will take place on Saturday, April 6. It is the calendar type that WWE used when NXT began its journey, and that caused the Hall of Fame ceremony to take place on Fridays in the last two years. However, the company has decided to change the dates in the 2019 edition.
WWE sent the following press release to the media: “WWE will return to its previous WrestleMania Week calendar with NXT TakeOver on Friday, April 5 and the Hall of Fame admission ceremony on Saturday, April 6. We believe this It’s better for our fans. “
This change could have been made due to the success in the sale of tickets G1 Supercard, the event promoted by Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling that will take place on April 6, 2019, from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The pre-sale of G1 Supercard was a success and all available tickets were sold out in less than 48 hours. The remaining tickets for the general public were sold later in less than 48 hours. WWE has as a priority the NXT TakeOver event and the absence of many fans who will attend the G1 Supercard could be a problem to achieve their goal.
G1 Supercard will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2019 in New York City. ROH and NJPW have confirmed the presence of their main stars and defenses for the evening. Kazuchika Okada, Marty Scurll, Hiroshi Tanahashi, The Briscoes or Tetsuya Naito are some of the confirmed fighters. The Solowrestling.com team will be present at this show and at the NXT Takeover event that will be held the day before.
