WWE Confirms that Crown Jewel will be held on November 2

During the last days, the celebration of the Crown Jewel event has been questioned due to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the hands of the Saudi regime. Both Linda McMahon, the management of WWE and Kane had received pressures from the media in recent days to cancel the show, even media such as PW Insider reported that a large portion of the WWE roster was against traveling.

However, it seems that WWE will move forward with its plan. The company has published a press release in the last hours confirming the celebration of Crown Jewel on November 2. Basically, it is the same statement that was previously published but with a change in the date. In this way, WWE intends to confirm its decision to hold the show at King Saud University Stadium without making much noise.

Crown Jewel will feature a large number of WWE stars. The main event will be a triple threat match between Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship. AJ Styles will defend the WWE Championship against Daniel Bryan.

Shawn Michaels will make his return to the ring and join Triple H to reform D-Generation X and face The Undertaker and Kane. And to finish, WWE will celebrate the finals of the World Cup, where the best fighter in the world will be determined. For that tournament, the presence of Kurt Angle, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Jeff Hardy has been announced.

Official Statement:

“The Saudi General Sports Authority, in partnership with WWE, will present WWE Crown Jewel at the King Saud University Stadium on Friday, November 2, including a Universal Championship Triple Threat Match featuring Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman; a WWE Championship Match between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan; and the first-ever WWE World Cup tournament to determine the best in the world.”
