WWE confirms the first Exclusive All-Women’s PPV in its history

Tonight during the Monday Night Raw broadcast, Red Label Commissioner Stephanie McMahon made an announcement of great importance to the WWE women’s division. On Sunday, October 28, 2018, there will be an all-female event that will be called Evolution.

In addition, Michael Cole revealed more details of the historic night for WWE women. This event will take place from the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York and will feature superstars from Raw, SmackDown and NXT that will defend the respective titles of women in their brands. As if that were not enough, Evolution will host the final of the Mae Young Classic tournament, which will hold its tapings on August 8 and 9.

Finally, Stephanie announced that Evolution will have the participation of more than 50 women, including past and current superstars. It is worth mentioning that this will be the first purely feminine event in WWE history. Months ago, the company received strong criticism for the realization of the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia, which did not have women due to the region’s existing bans. For this reason, strong rumors began to emerge indicating that WWE would hold a women’s event as a way to compensate for what happened at the end of April, something that seems to be confirmed by tonight’s announcement.
