WWE confirms two matches for the Superstar Shake-Up
During the Monday Night RAW broadcasts held this week, a new promotion was made to the RAW and SmackDown on April 15 and 16 respectively, in which a new edition of the Superstar Shake-Up will be made from the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada.
The announcement, which could be seen through the Canadian television, included the confirmation of two new clashes for both shows. On the one hand, Kevin Owens will face Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship on SmackDown Live on April 16. Bryan will face Kofi Kingston for the title two weeks earlier at WrestleMania.
On the other hand, The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose) will face Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin in the March 15 edition of RAW. WWE had announced a few weeks ago that Ambrose decided not to renew with the company after April. Recall that both meetings could be affected by what happens this Sunday at WrestleMania.
During the Superstar Shake-Up, the company unexpectedly introduced changes to the roster instead of formally announcing them as was the custom in Drafts prior to 2017. Last year, RAW received superstars such as Kevin Owens, Jinder Mahal, Sami Zayn, The Riott Squad, and Natalya, while SmackDown Live added to their roster Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, Asuka, Sheamus, Cesaro, among others.
