WWE Evolution: Shayna Baszler becomes the new NXT Women’s champion

Shayna Baszler defeated Kairi Sane in the WWE Evolution event to become the new NXT Champion. This is the second ostentation of Baszler, who lost the title in summer against Sane herself, who had endured 66 days as champion to date.

Shayna Baszler chose to continuously attack Kairi Sane’s left arm from almost the beginning of the fight. During the fight, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke made their appearance in the crowd to attack Kairi Sane without the referee seeing him. Sane managed to get rid of the pressure but was kicked from the outside by Duke that knocked her out. Baszler took the moment to strangle her rival and take victory by submission.

This is the first time that three of the four MMA 4 Horsewomen are involved in a show attacking another superstar. It is rumored that WWE will carry out a battle between them three more Rousey Round against the 4 Horsewomen of WWE in Survivor Series, the classic PPV to be held on November 18.

Both Superstars have experienced intense rivalry since their arrival in WWE. Their first match came in the final of the first edition of the Mae Young Classic tournament. On that occasion, Kairi Sane took the victory. In her second major match, Sane also took the victory. It was August 18, 2018 at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4, where the Japanese wrestler beat Baszler to take the NXT Women’s Championship.
