WWE Evolution: Toni Storm vs Io Shirai Set for the Mae Young Classic final
With weeks of the tournament, WWE has already defined the final of this year’s Mae Young Classic. After their last program this week, Toni Storm and Io Shirai advanced to the final of the WWE women’s tournament, also ensuring their participation in the Evolution event.
Both fighters managed to go through their rivals in the semifinals. Storm managed to defeat Meiko Satomura, managing to improve her position on the last edition of the tournament and achieving an important victory over the veteran, who also received chants in recognition of her work by the public. Shirai, on the other hand, maintained its good step by WWE, managing to defeat to Rhea Ripley in the stellar fight of the program.
Storm and Shirai will make their official debut in a show of the main roster of WWE, in addition to facing for the fifth time in their careers and for the first time in the company. In the past, both had seen the faces in the company Stardom, with the record of victories and defeats without any over.
This year the tournament will be part of the Evolution show, dedicated to the female talent of WWE. Storm and Shirai will share alongside talent such as Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane from NXT, as well as the own superstars of the company’s main roster.
