WWE has Big Plans for the Women’s division Ahead of Wrestlemania 35
According to the latest rumors, WWE has big plans for the women’s division in 2018 and next year. In recent months we have witnessed the incorporation of a large number of gimmick female matches. The trend of WWE will be the same in the coming months. although there is still a challenge to achieve a stellar fight at Wrestlemania.
Some media point out that the appearance of Ronda Rousey in the presentation of Wrestlemania 35 was not casual. Apparently, the idea that the board has in mind is that the former UFC Bantamweight Champion will fight in the main event of that show for one of the women’s championships.
In principle, Asuka will be the ideal candidate and his undefeated could last until 2019 for the fight to have much more value. It is true that there is still a long way to go until that date but in 2017, by now we knew that Roman Reigns was going to face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 34.
Some media indicate that the rumored fight of Ronda Rousey and Asuka could occur in Summerslam but it does not appear to be WWE’s plan at this time. However, another important women’s fight will be held at the big SummerSlam PPV.
What is clear is that WWE is still committed to women and proof of this is the inclusion of 3 official fights (one of them mixed) on the card of Wrestlemania 34 but that could reach 5 in the case of confirmation of the fight for the Raw women’s title and the clash between Bayley and Sasha Banks.
