WWE would be interested in hiring the independent wrestler and current PCW ULTRA lightweight champion, Shane Strickland, as confirmed by PW Insider journalist Mike Johnson. The rumors contemplate that the young man born in Tacoma (Washington) will leave the independent scene at the end of this year, joining WWE in 2019.
Johnson has assured that Strickland will leave Major League Wrestling (MLW) next month after the televised tapings of Miami TV on December 13 and 14. In fact, the company was already prepared for this to happen, since they had already begun to create stories after the MLW Wargames to be seriously injured.
Shane appeared, however, in the latest taping of Chicago and lashed out at the product and the MLW fans, which would spearhead his departure from the company. Rumors have it that it will begin in January 2019 as part of the NXT brand, after WWE confirms a new batch of contracted Performance Center. It should be remembered that Strickland has participated in companies such as AAA, RPW, Aro-Fight, IMPACT Wrestling, PWG, PROGRESS, wXw, CZW, EVOLVE and Lucha Underground, where he played the character of Killshot.
