WWE Monday Night Raw December 31, 2018 Results

WWE held new tapings of Monday Night Raw from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Below are the full results of Monday Night RAW:

A small promotional video of the Royal Rumble is presented, which confirms that the winner and winner of each real battle will be able to choose which championship to fight for at WrestleMania. Afterward, lower the steel cage to the ring. Ziggler and McIntyre make their respective entries.

– Drew McIntyre defeats Dolph Ziggler in a Steel Cage Match. McIntyre achieved the victory via pinfall after applying to Ziggler the claymores in a very well received fight by the public. It highlights a spot in which McIntyre applies a superplex to Ziggler from the third string, which received the ovation of the fans present.

After the match, McIntyre sits on top of Ziggler and talks about how he is just deadlift, and that people should focus on more relevant wrestlers. Warns that he will leave Royal Rumble as the winner and ask for an opportunity for the WWE Universal Championship

It shows behind the scenes to Triple H and Shane McMahon arriving in the sand in a limousine.

– Seth Rollins makes an appearance and demands his rematch with Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship right now. Triple H appears on the scene to tell him that there will be no rematch clauses, but that if they would have doubted that Seth deserves it. He says he looks for old Seth Rollins back, and to get it he decides that he will face Bobby Lashley in a moment.

Shane McMahon makes his entrance and announces a Battle Royal to decide the next challenger to the Intercontinental Championship of Dean Ambrose in the future.

– Apollo Crews wins the Battle Royal for an opportunity to the Intercontinental Championship. The fighter achieves victory after eliminating Baron Corbin. Other participants of the meeting were Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder, No Way Jose, Titus O’Neil, Heath Slater, Rhyno, Finn Balor, Tyler Breeze, Mojo Rawley, Kalisto, Golden Lynx, Great Metalik, Konnor, Viktor, Bo Dallas, and Curtis Axel.

– Natalya interviewed behind the scenes. She talks about her match against Ronda Rousey for the Raw women’s championship held last week and confirms her participation in the women’s Royal Rumble. Afterward, she attacked from behind by Nia Jax and Tamina.

– Baron Corbin reappears after his recent defeat, complaining about how unfair his elimination was. Elias appears for his new year concert. He sings about Corbin, ceasing to be general manager of Raw until the aforementioned becomes tired and begins to attack him. The fight moves to the public area, and Corbin is the winner.

It announces a match between Ronda Rousey and Natalya against Nia Jax and Tamina to be held in moments

– Bailey, Sasha Banks, and Ember Moon defeat The Riott Squad in a tag team match. The present public does not finish connecting with the combat.

– Bobby Lashley defeats Seth Rollins by disqualification. After Lio Rush interfered several times, Rollins took a chair to attack him and Lashley. Finally, Seth applied the curb stomp on Rush while fans in the arena cheered on the wrestler.

– Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers defeat Heath Slater and Rhyno in a handicap match. Rhyno receives public support by being in his hometown.

– Dean Ambrose performs a promo behind the scenes. He clarifies that he is not one of those who needs a quiet start to the year, and assures that he will defeat Apollo Crews when they face the Intercontinental Championship in moments.

In a segment that involves the audience, Renee Young chooses three fans to perform imitations of her favorite wrestlers. The first imitates Randy Savage, the second to Finn Balor, and the third to The Rock. The one who imitated Finn Balor wins and takes a free shirt. The entire segment was taped by the cameras.

– Dean Ambrose defeats Apollo Crews to retain his Intercontinental Championship. The public spends most of the match booing and chanting the name of CM Punk.

– Alexa Bliss announces from backstage that she will be the first woman to conduct a talk show at WWE. She confirms that next week she will premiere “Moment of Bliss” and her first guest will be the RAW  Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

It is confirmed through the arena screens that John Cena , Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar will return to Monday Night RAW next week.

– Ronda Rousey and Natalya defeat Nia Jax and Tamina. Rousey achieves victory by applying the armbar to Tamina. This is the last match that taped for the show next Monday.

– Dean Ambrose defeats Seth Rollins in a Steel Cage Match held after the RAW tapings. Shane McMahon made the match official after the last bout taped for the red show.

In the final moments, Rollins and Ambrose remained on top of the steel cage. Seth applied a superkick to Dean and he fell on the other side of the cage, gaining victory and retaining his Intercontinental Championship.
