WWE NXT January 9, 2019 Preview

WWE will broadcast tonight a new episode of its NXT program. The show will be broadcast on WWE’s official digital platform, WWE Network.

– Before leaving NXT, EC3 has some pending issues with Adam Cole and Undisputed ERA. “The Top One Percent” has had its most and least with the faction since the fight that Cole and EC3 had in October, in which Undisputed ERA savagely attacked EC3’s leg after the fight. The hostility intensified with the return of EC3. “The Top One Percent” defeated Bobby Fish (who raged with EC3 using a steel chair during the attack) last month. Adam Cole attempted another ambush after Fish’s defeat, but Heavy Machinery thwarted his attempt. “The Panama City Playboy” has the last chance to redeem himself tonight before EC3 leaves NXT. Who will come out with the victory? Can EC3 abandon the yellow mark with a victory that gives it an extra boost?

– From its debut in 2016, few Superstars have managed to build a legacy in NXT like Nikki Cross. The chaos created by “The Twisted Sister” is undeniable and has given multiple headaches to the NXT superstars. However, about to leave NXT to get to Raw or SmackDown Live!, there is still an important obstacle that must be overcome: the undefeated, Bianca Belair.

“The EST of NXT” and Cross have had a team of confrontations during 2018, being one of them a face candidate of the year. Both ended unfinished, which means that although Belair’s unbeaten streak remains intact, she still has to beat the Scot. Will, that change when they meet for the third time tonight?

– There are still many unanswered questions about the relationship between the NXT champion, Tommaso Ciampa, and Johnny Gargano, but what is not in doubt is the way in which “The Blackheart” sees his former teammate, since He has offered to join again.

After Ciampa and Gargano joined forces, albeit briefly, for Johnny Gargano to defeat Aleister Black, inside a steel cage last month, the NXT champion suggested that Gargano be interested in winning a title, specifically, the championship American NXT, currently held by Ricochet. Will Gargano have the suggestion of Ciampa?

– Last week, the German, Marcel Barthel, and the Italian, Fabian Aichner, forged an alliance in NXT UK, defeating the team of Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan. This week, the newly formed “European Union” compete together for the first time as a tag team at Full Sail.
