WWE planned to hold two exclusive women’s PPVs in 2019

Dave Meltzer, Wrestling Observer journalist, has indicated in his latest newsletter that WWE would have planned to make two exclusive women’s PPVs in 2019 , even speculating that the second event could be called Queen of the Ring , the female version of the classic tournament male King of the Ring.

The reason why it will take WWE to duplicate its exclusive women’s programming will be the success of the Evolution event. When appearing, the event not only liked, but it reaped good numbers in WWE Network, and it is predicted that next year its second edition will be celebrated. It is likely that Queen of the Ring will hold a tournament among the best superstars on the WWE women’s roster, although it has not been specified what kind of prize the winner will win.

WWE will not rule out holding other thematic events for women in the future. At the moment, there are plans for that show and to launch the tag team championship, something that would be almost official, considering the statements of WWE superstars, especially the latest statements by Bayley and Sasha Banks on Monday Night Raw. The base of the WWE women’s tag team continues to grow and it is planned that NXT superstars like Nikki Cross, Kairi Sane or Shayna Baszler will be promoted to the main roster in 2019. Thanks to these additions, WWE will have more options to create new shows for women.

On the other hand, it seems that the idea of confronting men with women is increasingly removed from WWE’s plans. The company has several problems to carry out this type of struggle, and one of them is the staging on television and its content PG. Triple H broke away from this idea in recent statements.
