WWE plans two new events in Saudi Arabia in 2019

ith all the controversy generated by the celebration of Crown Jewel after the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi by the regime that governs in Saudi Arabia, WWE wants to continue fulfilling the lucrative agreement that the Saudi government has. Remember that this agreement lasts for 10 years and give the company very high profits.

According to Dave Meltzer in the last newsletter of the Wrestling Observer, WWE plans to make two new events in the Islamic country. The dates of these events are not fully agreed, but it is rumored that they would be again in May and November, as has been done this year.

After The Greatest Royal Rumble and Crown Jewel, WWE continues its expansive policy in the Saudi market despite the complaints of shareholders and obviating the fans who asked not to collaborate with the Bin Salman regime. At the moment, two new events are planned, with no confirmed location.

However, it is rumored that the first event in May could take place in the same place as GRR: the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jiddah, a few kilometers from Riyadh, the capital of the country.
