Yesterday, WWE published an article on its website that named the Top 10 most outstanding superstars of the year 2017. The article in question opens mentioning that this year WWE has had one of the most talented staff accumulated in history, but the 10 named are those that have “taken over” 2017. Here we leave the list of the Top 10 best talents of 2017 according to WWE:
10 – Raw and 205 Live: WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore
9 – Raw: WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar
8 – Raw: The Shield [Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns]
7 – SmackDown Live: Kevin Owens
6 – Raw: The Miz
5 – SmackDown Live: Jinder Mahal
4 – SmackDown Live: Draw between The New Day [Big E, Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston] and The Usos [Jimmy & Jay Us0]
3 – Raw: Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss
2 – Raw: Braun Strowman
1 – SmackDown Live: WWE Champion AJ Styles
Notably, the current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, finished in one of the last places on the list, surpassing only Enzo Amore and being surpassed by superstars like Braun Strowman, who was left with the second place despite not having obtained none of the WWE titles.
On the other hand, the only woman on the list is the Raw women’s champion Alexa Bliss, who also placed on the podium with third place. Also noteworthy is the only draw on the list between The New Day and The Usos. Both teams were an important part of SmackDown Live, leading a rivalry around the Tag team championships for much of the year.
Finally, the first place on the list is for WWE champion AJ Styles, who not only overwhelmed Brock Lesnar, but also placed himself above several champions and former champion such as Jinder Mahal, who was WWE champion for much of 2017, falling defeated against AJ Styles on November 7 in an episode of SmackDown Live.
