WWE will soon open a Performance Center in the United Kingdom

WWE will make an announcement during this weekend’s taping of NXT UK. WWE will visit Liverpool for the television tapings this Saturday and Sunday, and as already reported, plan to make a big announcement. New information indicates that the company will reveal its intention to establish a Performance Center in the United Kingdom.

Dave Meltzer reports in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE would have been working in recent weeks to establish the second Performance Center in the European country. this would be the first step in a long-term strategy to create various training centers throughout the world, from Saudi Arabia to Japan, Germany, South America, and Australia.

The idea with which we are working is to establish different territories, all controlled primarily by WWE. This way in a certain place they establish their center and an important mark, similar to what happens in the United Kingdom with NXT UK. From that, they would go on to teach the way in which they do pro-wrestling, in addition to getting talents before they manage to stand out in other companies that may be competitors in the territory. With this measure, future stars would start their career directly in WWE.

Through the organization of WWE, they would be able to control the dates in which these talents are programmed. In this way, a British talent could appear in other countries and in companies that collaborate intimately with WWE, as it happens with wXw, PROGRESS, ICW and Fight Club: Pro.

In addition to this announcement, WrestleTalk provides some details, stating that Johnny Moss, Johnny Kidd, Robbie Brookside and Marty Jones will become the coaches of the British Performance Center. It is also detailed that, apart from the announcement of the Performance Center during this weekend, WWE is expected to announce specials of NXT UK TakeOver in the United Kingdom for 2019.
