For the third time this year, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will compete in a match for the Universal title at Summerslam. It will likely be the main event of the evening and the crowd may well be heard. However, this fight will be a bit special since the specter of the Money in the Bank briefcase will never be very far. Indeed, Kevin Owens and Braun Strowman will fight earlier in the show to determine who will get the famous contract.
Obviously, the WWE seems to have trouble figuring out the length of this match between “The Incarnate Beast” and “The Big Dog”. According to Bryan Alvarez, the officials would hesitate between a very short match and a much longer one. If this last option were to be validated, it could even be one of the longest battles of all the career of Lesnar. Alvarez also said that the decision will probably be made on the day of pay-per-view just to keep the secret until the last moment.
Quite frankly, it’s hard to imagine attending a Squash Match at the main event in Summerslam. A quick victory for Lesnar would definitely discredit Reigns and the opposite would break the whole WWE myth about the almost invisibility of the current universal champion. If this assumption is valid, we can bet on the cashing of the case in stride, because the WWE will undoubtedly have the heart to finish the evening on a good note.
