Last night, The Bludgeon Brothers brutally attacked The New Day and The Usos during their match at the Fastlane event. Xavier Woods was the one who took the brunt of the attack and WWE reported that the New Day member suffered a spinal injury.

Luke Harper and Erik Rowan attacked the competitors during the Match for SmackDown Live tag team Championship which ended without results. After making multiple moves on all competitors, Woods was the victim of the final assault, receiving a Double Powerbomb on the metal stairs. Once Fastlane finished, the official website of WWE reported that this attack generated a series of injuries to the thorax which is why he had to be removed on a stretcher.

The official statement indicates that the preliminary diagnoses showed “chest contusions”, and the superstar of the Smackdown Live will be evaluated by means of x-rays and an MRI will be performed to identify if there is any other type of damage, such as possible fractures. In the next hours, WWE will issue an official diagnosis.

Presumably, this injury is part of the history between the teams, and Woods is not injured. The strongest rumors put the team of Harper and Rowan facing Jimmy and Jay Uso and The New Day for the titles at WrestleMania and even talking about a Fatal 4 Way with an unknown fourth team.
